More than 80 thousand people dreamed of ice in Jelgava

The Largest winter event in Baltics -  The 20th International Ice Sculpure Festival -  has concluded. Those who have not yet seen the sculptures, will have the chance to do so this week from 13th until 18th of February on Pasta Island, where the 30 individual contest ice sculptures have been moved. There you can still find also 15 large sculptures and “Koskenkorva” ice bar.

The ice sculpture park will be open from 12.00 AM until 08.00 PM. Ticket price for adults is 2.00 EUR, but for children, students, scholars, pensioners – 1.00 EUR. Also children who is 7 years old or younger do not have to pay for entrance. Before going to the sculpture park we advise to look into such homepages as jelgava.lv and festivali.jelgava.lv and make sure, that sculptures are still available for admiring.

Furthermore, while the temperature outside will be under zero degrees celsium, in Janis Cakste Boulevard, three foto ice sculptures will still be available. In Duke Jacob’s Square ice slides and maze will also be in place. Ice sculptures on Janis Cakste Boulevard and Duke Jacob’s Square are available for admiring for free.
