Turn the biggest world`s music hit into sand art! International Sand Sculpture Festival in Jelgava announces open call
Applications have been announced for the 17th International Sand Sculpture Festival "Summer Signs 2023", which will be held in Jelgava from June 3 to 10.

The Sand Sculpture Park in Jelgava is open
In Jelgava, the Sand Sculpture Park that has been damaged by the intense rains has been restored and is available to visitors. The Sand Sculpture Park is open to visitors every day from 10 AM to 8 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the park.

It is planned that Sand sculpture park will be open in early July
Heavy and intense rain has significantly damaged the sand sculptures, so it has been decided to temporarily close the sand sculpture park. It should be noted that the norm of precipitation in June in Jelgava is 70 millimeters, but in the last day it reached 58.2 millimeters. The municipal establishment "Kultūra" has already contacted the sand sculptors and after Summer solstice celebrations they are going to restore the sculptures so that they can be seen by visitors again in the beginning of July.
