Only a few trading areas left on the grounds of International Ice Sculpture Festival

Latvian entrepreneurs of trade, catering and entertainment activities are invited to apply for the International Ice Sculpture Festival's trade sector until January 15. The sector will operate on Pasta Island and Jānis Čakste Boulevard on February 3 from 6 to 10 PM and on February 4th and 5th from 10 AM to 10 PM.

SCULPTORS FROM 12 COUNTRIES WILL CONTRIBUTE THEIR ARTISTRY TO THE 24TH INTERNATIONAL ICE SCULPTURE FESTIVAL

The 24th International Ice Sculpture Festival will occur in three places in Jelgava - Jānis Čakste Boulevard, Pasta Island and the open-air concert hall "Mītava" from the 3rd to the 5th of February. This year, a total of 32 professional sculptors from 12 countries will create art pieces while revealing their unique perspectives on the ancient deities as well as their importance in different cultures. Within the framework of the festival, in less than a week, 45 competition sculptures will be created and in total, more than 60 ice objects will be on display.

Pupils invited to apply for collage competition “International Ice sculpture Festival in Jelgava”

In anticipation of this winter's grandest event, The 24th International Ice sculpture Festival, the local government institution “Kultūra” announces a collage competition for pupil collectives of  grades 1 to 4 “International Ice sculpture Festival in Jelgava.” This year students have been asked to develop an artwork on the theme “My dream ice sculpture.”
