The largest sand sculpture park in the Baltics is open!

Yesterday, on June 4th, in Jelgava, the largest Sand sculpture park in the Baltics "Summer Signs 2022" opened its doors, inviting visitors to get to know the world's masterpieces in 16 large-scale sand sculptures. During the day, the guests of the event were entertained by activities for the whole family, as well as concerts by popular Latvian musicians.

In less than a week, 15 artists from 10 countries - Czech Republic, Spain, Ukraine, Canada, Turkey, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia - created artworks on Pasta island, which reflect the theme of this year's Sand sculpture park - "Masterpieces". In turn, the park's demo sculpture was created by Latvian sculptors Kārlis Īle and Maija Īle.

The opening program of the Sand sculpture park consisted of activities for the whole family - attractions, foam parties and bubble workshops. In the evening, visitors were delighted by the musical association "Riga Reggae" and "Edavārdi".

Tomorrow, June 5th, the Sand sculpture park on Pasta island will be open from 10 AM to 11 PM. In the first half of the day, in addition to viewing the sculptures, visitors may participate in attractions for the whole family but at 8 PM Ivo Fomins will take the stage.

During the opening days of the park, on June 4th and 5th, traffic restrictions must be taken into account. The traffic organization scheme is available HERE.
