Nature in art and art in the natural environment. The Divine Proportion, or the Golden Ratio, has been studied since antiquity. It appears regularly in geometry, in the growth patterns of organs and biological organisms. It has also been used in architecture, art, and other fields since ancient times. The Cheops pyramid in Giza, the Parthenon in Athens, DNA, petals, Leonardo da Vinci's “Mona Lisa”, and “Vitruvian Man” – all these masterpieces of nature and art show the divine proportion.
