An explosion over the Spanish town Guernica in 1937 inspired Pablo Picasso to create a masterpiece depicting human suffering. “Guernica” remains one of the most powerful anti-war paintings in world history. Similar atrocities are committed today, but instead of expressing them in works of art, we most often watch them online. This is a different experience, but it should achieve the same goal – a call for world peace.
