WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO BUY FESTIVAL TICKETS AT THE ENTRANCE?

Yes, Festival entrance tickets will also be sold during the Festival at the main entrance to the Festival territory. But we recommend buying tickets in advance for lower prices and to avoid standing in line.

WILL PAYMENTS FOR ENTRANCE TICKETS AND OTHER SERVICES BE AVAILABLE WITH CREDIT CARDS?

Yes, Payments at the ticket box offices next to the entrance will be available by credit cards, whereas in the Festival territory only in a caffe it will be possibe to pay by a credit card.

DO I ALSO HAVE TO BUY AN ENTRANCE TICKET FOR A CHILD?

Children up to the age of 7 (including) are provided free Festival entrance, but only if accompanied by an adult with a valid entrance ticket.

Yes, Payments at the ticket box offices next to the entrance will be available by credit cards. Individual merchants will accept payment cards.

ARE ANY DISCOUNTS PROVIDED FOR THE ENTRANCE TICKETS?

Tickets for lower prices are provided for pensioners, scholars, students (if corresponding identity documents are provided) and also holders of Jelgava Resident's Cards and Jelgava scholar Cards. It is also possible to receive a discount providing a kupon that will be published in “Jelgavas Vēstnesis”, with the kupon tickets available only when purchasing in advance and only in Jelgava’ s House of Culture 

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES WHEN BUYING TICKETS BY BOOKING IN ADVANCE?

By booking in advance the ticket prices in all price categories are lower and during the Festival you will not have to wait in line at the box offices.

CAN I LEAVE THE FESTIVAL TERRITORY AS OFTEN AS I WANT TO?

Yes, but when leaving the territory you must ask the controller to stamp your hand with a special mark. Entrance to the Festival will be prohibited without a mark or with already used tickets.

CAN I TAKE A PHOTO/VIDEO CAMERA WITH ME?

During the Festival it is allowed to capture photos and videos in the Festival territory. In all of the Festival’s territories it is forbidden to use a drone.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO VISIT THE FESTIVAL LOCATION BEFORE THE FESTIVAL?

Until the opening of the Festival, Pasta Island will be closed to visitors. The festival will be opened for visitors from 8th February 6:00 p.m. Before the Festival, Pasta Island will be available for accredited photographers and press representatives to visit only, who will have received a permit from the organisers in advance.

 

IS IT ALLOWED TO BRING BEVERAGES INTO THE FESTIVAL TERRITORY?

It is prohibited to bring any alcoholic beverages into the Festival territory.

CAN I WALK MY DOG WHILE ON THE FESTIVAL’S TERRITORY?

In such territories as Pasta Island and Janis Cakste Boulevard it is forbidden to walk the dogs.

WILL ATM BE AVAILABLE IN THE FESTIVAL TERRITORY?

No, ATM will not be available in the Festival territory.
We suggest preparing a sufficient amount of cash in advance.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE LOST OR FOUND ANY ITEM?

During the Festival lost and found items can be handed over to or searched for at the Festival Information Centre. After the Festival lost items will be held by organisers for a limited amount of time.

WILL THERE SOMETHING WHERE I CAN BUY FOOD AND DRINKS?

In all of the Festival’s territories – Pasta sala, Jāņa Čakstes bulvāris and Pils sala – visitors will be able to buy all kinds of food and drinks. Check-out where you will be able to purchase them HERE.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE A BATHROOM WHILE ON SITE?

In all of the Festival’s territories it will be possible to use a bathroom. Check out where they will be placed HERE.

HOW TO DRESS?

Keep in mind that Festival will be occurring outside, so warm clothes would be a smart choice.
