The third day of the sculpture making process has almost come to an end on Jelgava city's Pasta Island.

Sculptors will continue their work on Baltics largest sand sculpture animal park until 8th of June, which you can also follow on live stream HERE.

Donatas Mockus (Lithuania), who have participated in Jelgava's festival's before says that he already feels like a citizen of the city. "Here in Jelgava loads of contests occur. They give you an opportunity to work with metal, sand, ice, wood - you just cannot ignore such chance. It works like a magnet for the sculptor. I remember when I was still studying at the Academy of Arts, how happy I was when I could make a sculpture with the size of a vase. But here everything is on a completely different scale."

The event is organised by the city of Jelgava in cooperation with the Jelgava Municipality Institution “Kultūra”.

More information about tourism possibilities during the festival can be found on the Jelgava Regional Tourism Centre website.
